School Visits
Sarah is so excited to be able to offer school visits to motivate children through literacy. Younger students can enjoy a sensory play journey.
Older students can enjoy a creative writing or illustration workshop -learning the basics of creating a picture book of their own. They have the opportunity to try out some of Sarah’s illustration techniques for themselves… and they are always surprised by a certain trick Sarah swears by!
Sarah also visits schools to create a mural or large piece of artwork with the chilren.
Sarah’s school talks are offered free of charge to enable all to enjoy literature. However we do ask schools to consider twinning their libraries with Sarah’s Children’s book publisher The Lela Initiative’s Library Projects in Uganda and encourage parent’s to buy a copy of the book where they are able.

The Town Nursery in Chipping Norton were so inspired by Sarah’s talk they decided to create their own version of Frog Finds Home. Every child chose their favourite picture and created an artistic interpretation. They copied the words to. then to top it all off they learned all about traditional binding techniques which they all had a go at to bind the book themselves! Sarah was invited back to see the finished results and she was overwhelmed by the hard work. Thank you town nursery!
